When puffed, Pufferfish release a toxin called tetrodotoxin that is meant to impair an attacker enabling escape.However, it doesn’t hurt dolphins. It actually gets them high. Dolphins purposely inflate puffers and pass them around to dolphin friends for a buzz and a good time.
